I’m frequently asked for a design that can be stitched to give to a man – and it’s always a challenge. Very few men of my acquaintance would be overjoyed to see a flowery embroidered sign – however beautifully stitched – outside their garage, den or study.
So, Man Cave puts the words into code. Using Semaphore and Morse Code instead of words.
Using a limited range of very basic stitches, this project is a really easy stitch and could be perfect for younger stitchers to work as a very special gift. This makes it a great project for someone not long off the starting block of embroidery, as well as those more experienced.
The outline of the design is printed onto a sturdy cotton base, making it easy to stitch without an embroidery hoop – an even bigger plus for the inexperienced stitcher. DMC threads are used and the needle is provided, so all is set to open the pack and get stitching straight away.
Each design comes with the signature Dizzy & Creative stitch library, detailing every stitch used step by step, for both right and left handers.
