Janie’s originals is a small business based in the beautiful wilderness of south Somerset. Run by Janie Burnett-Bleach this small creative company aims to produce beautiful craft kits for all crafting abilities with designs inspired by nature, colour and texture. Specialising in a wide range of crafts including mixed media, painting and soft crafts Janie provides craft kits in many disciplines. Janie is well known for teaching craft workshops at her home studio as well as across the country and even on cruise ships. When the global pandemic of 2020 hit and restrictions didn’t allow for these workshops to continue Janie decided to put her ideas in to kit form so crafters could still enjoy her ideas but in the comfort of their own homes. Janie’s originals is always developing with passion and new ideas so stay tuned for more.

Why Janie’s Originals?

Being a one woman business all creative decisions start and end with Janie, her Art education combined with her love of crafts and passion for design combine to produce craft kits that are well thought out from start to finish. The name Janie’s originals came about when Janie started out as a mixed media painter producing only original pieces of art. To Janie originality is very important to the creative process and this has carried through to both craft kits and workshops where crafters are encouraged to put their own twist on a project to make it unique to them. Janie’s designs are usually inspired by nature and the love of creating. Being such a small creative business Janie can focus on the small details and spend time to carefully curate her kits and is always willing to listen to ideas and requests from her crafty customers to create crafts you will love to create and admire.
