Contemporary Craft Kits aim to offer a workshop experience

The idea for Contemporary Craft Kits came about completely by chance over a friendly natter and giant slices of cake. Which, quite frankly, is the very best way of coming up with a business plan. Tracey, trading as Benton’s Menagerie, was already turning some of her needle felted sculptures into project boxes and Heather Everitt Embroidery was in the process of turning some of the projects from her embroidery workshops into kits. The friends got chatting and hit upon the idea of working collaboratively as a team and also inviting guest artists and makers from the contemporary craft scene to join them. Contemporary Craft Kits offers completely original designs across a range of creative disciplines from professional UK-based artists and makers.

Why Contemporary Craft Kits?

Both professional makers, Heather and Tracey's work has been exhibited and sold in some of the top galleries across the UK as well as at quality shows such as The Craft Festival (Bovey Tracey), Made by Hand (Cardiff) and The Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair (Manchester). Their work has also featured in publications such as Period Living and Country Living Magazine. Over the years, the duo have taught their respective crafts extensively at creative workshops up and down the UK, sharing both their skills, accumulated over years of making, and their unique designs. Contemporary Craft Kits aim to offer a workshop experience, packaged up in a box. The team offer unique, gallery quality craft projects for you to make at your own pace, from the comfort of your home. And you also get years of skills and knowledge packaged up in that box.
