Mini Mosaic quilts

The philosophy of Cheryl Lynch Quilts is to provide tools, patterns and techniques to make complicated looking quilts, fun and easy. In addition to lecturing and teaching workshops, I sell acrylic rulers and patterns. Curvalicious was my first template. It's purpose is to make curved looking quilts without having to do curved piecing. Cheryl's Mini Mosaic Cutting Guide is my second acrylic template. It is used to cut the small pieces used in making the Mini Mosaic quilts. Using just scraps of batiks, the guide makes quick work of making the pieces to create the mosaic quilts. There are currently 30 Mini Mosaic patterns/kits available that come with step by step instructions. I also have just published a line of patterns to complement my first fabric line with Hoffman International Fabrics. The fabric is digitally printed and looks just like my mosaics.

Why Cheryl Lynch Quilts?

Cheryl Lynch Mini Mosaic quilts were inspired by a trip to Israel. Mosaics greeted me as soon as I entered the airport. There were ancient mosaics as well as contemporary ones and the mosaics that impressed me the most were the ones in a synagogue, Or Torah, in Acco. There were mosaics on the floors, walls and even the stairwell. As a quilt maker, designer and published author, I was inspired to develop a technique using fabric. Several years later I had created a few quilts for myself and wanted to share my unique technique that I had developed with other quilters. This led to the invention of an acrylic ruler to cut the small pieces of fabric plus over 25 patterns. Thousands of rulers and a variety of patterns have been sold in the past four years, as well as quilters using the technique to create their own small quilts.
