High quality alpaca yarn

Purl Alpaca Designs is a ‘field to fashion’ company specialising in great to make and wonderful to wear products. I own 37 alpacas that are sheared annually; I send away for analysis small samples from each fleece and the results ensure that only the best quality fibre goes towards making my yarn. My 7 natural colours are manufactured by a Mill in Dorset.

Why Purl Alpaca?

All fibre is analysed so only that which is under 25 microns in diameter is used. The patterns are checked by a professional knitter as well as being professionally tech edited and graded – for larger items, a second sample is made to check the graded pattern. Most of our packaging is made from recycled materials. Our products are environmentally friendly.
